Psychological challenges of athletes
"Order, work, and discipline" and "blood, sweat, and tears" are sayings that best describe the challenging path of every professional athlete, as well as amateur athletes.
Alongside school or work commitments and daily stressors, challenges in sports can become overly demanding and affect final results or the lack thereof.
Some specific situations or thoughts that most often worry athletes are:
"I attend every training session, but I'm not making progress."
"Everything goes well in training, but I freeze up during competitions."
"I get really nervous during competitions and my legs go numb."
"I've lost several times already, feel like I'm not progressing, but don't know where or how to proceed next."
"I just can't coordinate my training with other commitments."
"I have trouble communicating with my coach or teammates."

Psychoeducation aids in understanding why we behave the way we do.
Practical exercises
Psychological preparation of athletes encompasses work in the following areas:
setting goals
directing focus on performance
guiding and maintaining motivation in challenging situations
reducing tension
increasing relaxation of body and mind
greater sense of (self) control
less preoccupation with negative thoughts
adopting and maintaining healthy lifestyle habits
visualization, breathing and relaxation exercises
Individual sessions are held in person or online, according to the schedule and needs of the athletes, and are aimed at athletes aged 16 and older.
