Medical examinations for athletes
Do you want to ensure that you are engaging in sports in a correct and safe manner?
Sports examinations serve a purpose: they prevent injuries and mortality among athletes. Through proper, systematic examination, it can be determined:
Whether you are engaging in sports safely
Whether there are any health problems affecting your athletic readiness and preventing progress in sports
Engage in sports in a correct and safe manner
Achieve better athletic form and maximum performance
Stay healthier during training and get more out of your workouts
Are you engaging in sports in a safe manner?
Engaging in sports, aside from numerous benefits, also carries potential risks. The athlete's body is under increased stress during training and competition, both physically and mentally.
For some athletes, there is an elevated risk of health consequences. It is necessary to identify these risks, eliminate them if possible, and direct the athlete towards physical activities that bring positive health outcomes.
A medical examination of athletes aims not only to identify risks but also to prevent injuries and assess athletic readiness.
We understand the challenges you are facing
Lack of progress
It's a common occurrence for athletes to train for years without actually being adequately prepared.
The causes are varied: from playing in older age categories to health issues that pose a risk to their well-being.
Problems arise during exertion, which is why progress in sports is hindered.
Incidents during training
Sometimes, minor incidents occur such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, or discomfort during exertion, prompting an athlete to undergo a detailed health examination.
Unfortunately, sometimes these indicators don't arise until a more serious problem occurs.
Inadequate examinations
The current law only prescribes a medical examination to determine fitness for sports participation. However, it is not defined which examinations are mandatory.
As a result, examinations are sometimes completed in a few minutes and practically amount to stamping a paper stating that you are healthy for sports participation.
If you're engaged in sports, you deserve to know whether you're doing it correctly and safely. You deserve to know if there's an issue with your athletic readiness and what you need to do about it to train in a healthy manner and achieve maximum performance.
