PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination)
We conduct PEME (Pre-Employment Medical Examination), a health check required by your employer when you are first hired.
REME (Re-Employment Medical Examination)
We conduct REME (Re-Employment Medical Examination), a health check that must be performed every two years, before changing job roles, and before boarding any ship.
Complete medical examinations in one location
Seafarers can receive full health check-ups at PRIMA NOVA institution, except for vaccinations, which must be done at the Institute of Public Health "Dr. Andrija Štampar" or other public health institutes.
What is required to bring and how to prepare for a medical examination?
Medical examination for Category C boat manager and yacht captain:
Personal identification card
Glasses or contact lenses if you have a prescription
Health status certificate issued by a family medicine doctor, not older than 30 days.
Medical documentation/reports (from relevant specialists in medicine) if you suffer from any diseases/conditions
Fasting is required
Do not consume any food or drink (except water) within a time frame of 6 to 8 hours before sample collection. Ensure that you take any medications you regularly use.
