What to bring and how to prepare for a medical examination?

  • Personal identification card

  • Glasses or contact lenses if you have a prescription

  • Health status certificate issued by a family medicine doctor, not older than 30 days.

    If you do not have a family doctor, you need to provide a declaration stating that you do not suffer from chronic or mental illnesses, certified by a public notary. Link to the declaration document: Declaration for occupational medicine.

  • Medical documentation/reports (from relevant specialists in medicine) if you suffer from any diseases/conditions

  • Fasting is required, depending on the type of examination. Details are provided below.

    Do not consume any food or drink (except water) within a time frame of 6 to 8 hours before sample collection. Ensure that you take any medications you regularly use.

Basic medical examination for professional drivers includes laboratory blood and urine analysis, psychological assessment, vision examination, hearing test, spirometry, EKG, and a conclusive examination by an occupational medicine specialist. Fasting is required!

Exceptional medical examination for a driver’s license, for both amateur and professional drivers, includes laboratory diagnostics, psychological testing, vision examination, hearing test, EKG, examination by a neuropsychiatrist (if necessary), and a conclusive examination by an occupational medicine specialist. Fasting is required.

For the medical examination, you are required to bring:

  • Personal identification card

  • Glasses or contact lenses if you have a prescription

  • Health status certificate issued by a family medicine doctor, not older than 30 days.
